A Dream

I was raised in an alienated place,
Grew up with poor excuses of the human race.
Didn’t know anything,
They lied about everything.

They promised us perfection,
They gave us protection.
Showered us with corrections,
And killed us with injections.

We knew nothing,
Knew, not the word, wanting.
Knew not how to feel, hurting
What is there to know, when everything and nothing is the same?

No room for mistakes,
Such things as heartbreaks.
No room for choices,
Living among a crowd of corpses.

But as time goes by,
Our willfulness starts to die.
Making it seem, the once bad guys,
Turned to angels, by a mask of disguise.

Took away our everything,
But gave us our necessities.
Let us go, let us be.
Let us be free.

For we have a dream,
Not one as a team.
But, many many dreams.
Forming into one as a team.

We have feelings,
We have dreams.
We have hope,
We just need light beams.

To guide our way,
Through the unknown,
But this time, not alone.
And not let our sins lead us astray.
Living our life our way,
Forgiving the wrongs, yesterday.
Living today like the last,
Living freely, unlike the past.

For we have a dream,
Unlike a foolish daydream.
It will come true,
We just need to start anew.

We will follow the way the light points,
Pain and suffering will be our disappoints.
We will have to fight that on our own,

But this is how we will find our real home.
